Do I have to be in shape to start CrossFit?
Absolutely not! The beauty of CrossFit is that all of the workouts are able to be scaled to each unique individual. By “scaled” we mean that everyone is at a different level of fitness, so we alter the movement, weight and range of motion to best suit the athlete.
What is CrossFit?
CrossFit is a fitness regimen developed by Greg Glassman over several decades. Glassman, CrossFit’s Founder and CEO, was the first person in history to define fitness in a meaningful, measurable way: increased work capacity across broad time and modal domains. He then created a program specifically designed to improve fitness and health. CrossFit is constantly varied functional movements performed at high intensity. All CrossFit workouts are based on functional movements, and these movements reflect the best aspects of gymnastics, weightlifting, running, rowing and more. These are the core movements of life.
Why is CrossFit “so expensive?”
“Globo Gyms” make their money, banking on you NOT showing up to the gym, so they can get away with the “lower” rates. Our classes come down to roughly 5 dollars a class for an unlimited monthly membership. At Bridge The Gap CrossFit you are paying for a higher quality of service. We invest in our establishment, we invest in our coaches, we invest in our training, and most importantly, we invest in our members, YOU. Our coaches make sure you get the ample amount of attention, so all of your movement patterns are performed efficiently as well as safely. Five dollars a day…..that’s it……can you really put a price on a better quality of life for you, your family, and your friends?
What is your drop-in policy?
Experienced CrossFitter’s are welcome to drop in to any of our normally scheduled group coaching sessions for $20 per visit, just check out our schedule page. CrossFit has always tends to bring in amazing individuals, and we never want to lose sight of that. If you would like to stay for multiple days or weeks, give us a call or email and we’ll get you situated with a temporary membership or punchcard. Don’t forget to grab a T-shirt while you are here.
Do you offer Open Gym times?
YES! We do have open gym and we encourage our members to use it as often as possible. If you are an drop-in, please give us a call or email, so we can set something up with you. But as always we encourage drop-ins to attend the regular class to get the full experience of our community.
Do you offer nutritional guidance?
We sure do! Grab one of the coaches next time you are the box and we can sit down to find out what would work best for you. Also keep your eyes open for our periodic nutritional challenges.
